Finished the Rug

I was awake early this morning, which is not like me at all, so I went to the Lamb Island Craft Group which meets once a week, on a day that seems to change fairly often. There were 7 of us there today, with people doing whatever they feel like. It is really a bit of a chance for people to talk I think, which is nice. So I took my rug along and finished it. Sadly I started the middle coloured bit more than halfway through the blue, so it is asymetrical, but I'll get over it. Here it is in its place in front of the kitchen sink. I am a bit worried that Simon will chew on it one night when I am not at home. We'll see how long it lasts.
I probably should have washed up first!

The rug looks great! I wish I had a craft group to go to!
ReplyDeleteIf you hadn't said anything, I don't think I would have noticed, the off-centeredness is so slight. Looks great anyway!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks perfect. I like the fact that the center colors are slightly off center. I think it makes it look much more interesting! It's still beautifully balanced by the larger blue section. What a neat rug for your floor! I'm getting so inspired to do a rug by all you quilters who are doing one.
ReplyDeleteAsymetrical is interesting. I think it looks great.
ReplyDeleteThe rug looks great -- doesn't look asymetrical to me. Perfect for keeping your toes toasty while working at the sink *s*
ReplyDeleteI like your rug. I am working on one also and can't wait to put it where I am envisioning it. I think that placemats or hot pads would be good too. Let's see a picture of Simon!
ReplyDeleteI think the asymetrically is the way to go. Lots of people, including me, do things like that on purpose.
