Another Dishcloth
I'm sure the quilters are thinking "I thought this was a quilting blog?', but I can't help myself. Isn't this dishcloth cute? So quick to make, and if you get a bit slack with your row counting well it doesn't really matter, does it? Not to mention you can use crazy colours that you probably wouldn't use to make something bigger. I never thought I'd be one to say that knitting is fun - just goes to show how we change as we get older.

Years ago ( probably about 40) I can remember knitting potholders with a very similar design. We used eight ply and knitted two sides and then blanket stitched them together. A nice memory for me and a nice dish cloth for you.
ReplyDeleteIf you have to wash dishes (and everybody does *s*) you might as well have something cheerful to do it with.
ReplyDeleteI think it's cute too!
ReplyDeleteI'm a sponge person, but I understand people do love to use them!
They ARE fun to do, and a great way to try out new knitting patterns. This one is really cute!
ReplyDeleteVery cute dishcloth. Might as well have something pretty to wash the dishes. I like to knit too but only if it's socks.
ReplyDeleteI never thought I'd be knitting, but I'm getting pretty hooked on it. I love your dishcloths--keep on sharing them with your quilts!

I hac=ve to tell you, there are things about getting older that are secrets. No one tells you, but you can be gloriously odd!! It is such fun if you let it be!
