Half a House
Have been busy working this last few weeks and busy finishing off Laura's quilt. I'm half way through sewing in the 100s of threads, then just have to do the binding. Nearly finished!
The weather here has finally turned towards autumn, cool at night and occasionally overcast and cool during the day. But lots of the days have been beautiful - so nice to see the sun.

I took these photos of half a house on the way home from work the other morning. As I drove past the barge terminal I saw this big truck (and some "men at work") waiting to get on the barge. The next morning the other half was there but I was racing to catch the Waterbus so no time for photos. This is pretty much what the house next door will look like I think. It's meant to be coming on Friday night so I'll probably miss most of the fun. It will be funny to come home from work to find a house where 10 hrs before there was nothing much.

Oh, Jenni, that picture of the sunshine dancing on the water is beautiful...
ReplyDeleteand I had to laugh with the 1/2 house! Interesting, though...
:)
The sunlight at this time of year makes all things look so pretty. The new house looks far more interesting than I would have guessed based on the posts that were planted in the lot. The sparkle on the water looks a bit like coins.
ReplyDeleteHow cool to just have a home brought to the site!
ReplyDeleteDo you know who your new neighbors will be?
Hopefully a quilter?
How lovely to see water every day!
What a lovely picture of the water...kind of draws a person in. Hopefully those people have house and home together now!
