Sunflowers
First thing - my Q4P link isn't working. My fault. Kim sent me the new code, I deleted the old code then realised that I didn't know my Ring number. Woops. I have emailed her but it is probably the middle of the night where she lives, or she is having a Sunday sleep-in.
Next, for those of you on the wrong side of the world who are not seeing much sunlight, here is a photo of some sunflowers I picked up at a farm stall yesterday. Aren't they beautiful?
Then a photo of a painting I bought today. It looks better in real life - the light is shining on it in the photo. There has been an art show here this weekend (Australia Day) and I bought it there. It was quite inexpensive, but I like it. Now I have to decide where to put it.
The cricket is on - I can just hear that someone got out.
Better get back to it. Australia is going pretty well against New Zealand (3nd favourite enemy after England and South Africa). The game is in Perth today and the temperature on the cricket ground is 41 deg C. Imagine that?

I really like your painting, was it by a local artist. Does your desk face a wall? That is where I would put it. Is the Q4P ring strict? I am wondering if I quilt enough to apply? What do you think?

Sunflowers are so cheery! Thanks for sharing them with us (she says as she looks out at deep snow).
ReplyDeletePretty sunflowers -- soon it will be time to plant them here *s*
ReplyDeleteLove the painting, and the sunflowers are lovely. One of the local petrol stations has a garden of them and they make me smile every time I drive past. Imagine being an Aussie in South Africa when they are playing cricket, rugby etc. At least we usually beat them...But it's interesting hearing the commentators and radio announcers sledging the Aussie team.

I don't know if this helps you at all - this is the code we have to put in and then our own pass word.
Beautiful sunflowers! Fortunately it is starting to get a bit nicer here now. Too much more rain and wind and I think I would have hijacked a plane to Australia! (opps, I hope this doesn't get picked up by any high security police!!) LOL
Today the sun is bright but it is very cold. I love sunflowers. Thank-you for showing yours they made my day.
ReplyDeleteThose sunflowers look great but , being a big beach girl, I really love the painting. You did very well.
ReplyDeleteWhat about that pretty exciting cricket!!! I've missed the runfests, but imagine having to do that in the heat! The sad thing was having to stay up until midnight for it but I got my kitchen clean!!
Oh the sunflowers are just so pretty and happy looking! It hasn't been over freezing here in over a month...too long for me and I do love winter..usually!!!
ReplyDeleteWe won't have blooming sunflowers until July...sigh.
Hey there Jenni, I love the sunflowers, they're just sooooo cheerful!
